What neuroscience, psychology and eastern philosophies teach us about consciousness and well-being
What is consciousness? What is it made of? Who is conscious? Are you? Is a tree? Is consciousness inside our heads or are our heads within conciousness? What is the relationship between mind and brain? Is there such a thing as a fixed self in which consciousness takes place?
Are there ways we can deal with the content of our consciousness which make us happy and healthy? How can science measure and study consciousness? Can we apply the scientific method to the content of our own minds?
Regarding these and related questions we will look at the findings and insights of neuroscience, psychology, Western philosophy as well as Buddhism and Daoism.
We will both theoretically and practically explore the content of our consciousness and together work on writing the first owner´s manual for a human consciousness.
